Keg at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden. Darkest cola brown. Foamy beige head. Aroma has generous cacao with a hint of a berry edge. Flavourwise those berries really.assert themselves- a sourness, over creamy cocoa. But the sournwss ultimately dominates. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Decent stuff. Characterful Black Lager.

Draft at the Lewes brewery taproom. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty, light yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter plus a hint of sweetness, with a crisp, roasty, yeasty, earthy, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
