Ho, Ho, Ho. The lights may have been up since October and Santa Baby is already stuck in your head, but it's Christmas again, so cheer up grumpy guts. A delicious festive Red IPA with a fluffy white head, just like you know who.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a mostly clear reddish amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is herbal, yeasty. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, earthy, herbal, dry, vinous, mineral, oaky, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Amber brown with a frothy white head and a mellow berry fruit aroma. Soft and smooth, sweet berry fruit and malt with hop bitterness and a dry finish.

Can that was sat in The Good Intent's fridge for some time... presumably a Christmas 2024 special. Opaque ruby brown. Thick foamy beige head. Aroma had chewy rye spice and malts with sweet sugary berries. Flavourwise the sweetness is present but dialled down compared to the aroma... berries again. As well as sweet and spicy rye. A sour tang cones through. And some resinous bitterness. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. I like. The August 25 Best Before date doesn't seem to have been an issue.
