A German Hefeweizen is another name for Weissbier. "Hefe" means yeast, and "Weizen" means wheat, so Hefeweizen is "yeast wheat” beer. We use the name “Walkin’ Shoes” taken from Gerald Joseph "Gerry" Mulligan, an American jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and arranger. This beer is a south German style of wheat beer (weissbier) made with a ratio of 50:50 wheat and Pilsner. We utilize a weizen yeast that produces a unique phenolic flavors of banana and cloves with a dry and slight tart note. A phenomenal summertime beer! Prost!
