No 38. "A mint julep is not the product of a formula - it is ceremony, and must be performed by a gentleman possessing a true sense of artistic, a deep reverence for the ingredients, and a proper appreciation of the occasion. It is a rite that must not be entrusted to a novice, a statistician, nor a Yankee."
- Henry Clay
Dang it! We were in there till the Yankee caveat. Pucker up, Buttercup!

This beer pours a slightly hazy orange-amber color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, mint and malt. Medium body with flavors of oaky bourbon, spearmint, funky citrus and malt. The finish is oaky with a brett and mint aftertaste. Different, and pretty good overall.

Now this is a really odd duck. Aroma has fruit mint whiff of vinegar and a bit of malt. Appearance is of fizzy short-lived head and a hazy medium amber color. Flavors very similar to nose plus a little sweetness and salt no sign of the Bourbon Barrel. Great carbonation and body. Excellent finish unusually delicious beer. I drink this again for sure.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dry sour fruits with light spearmint and a decent amount of barrel. Flavor starts with tart fruits that are joined by barrel, spearmint and some back licorice.

Pours tea colored gold into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Sour lime and spearmint aromas. Tart lemon lime upfront mingling with spearmint before the dry, lasting marshmallow and oak finish. At first I wasn’t sure about the spearmint, but I could see this aged in rum barrels for a mean mojito...
