This classic Czech-style Pale Lager, a true labor of love brewed with our good friends at Good Word Brewing & Public House [@goodwordbrewing], is a tribute to tradition and a testament to hard work. Brewed true to style with a traditional decoction mash technique, this beer earned its name the hard way. Forty-two Buckets is a nod to the forty-two literal buckets of hot, heavy mash we had to haul by hand from the mash tun up a flight of stairs to the kettle. We earned every single sip of this beer. A portion of select Tchecomalt carefully procured from @countrymalt adds a delicate, toasty character and a rich golden color to the malt body. In the kettle, the noble Saaz Comfort hops from our friends at @hopandstuff impart a gentle, spicy floral aroma, while a late whirlpool addition of Kazbek hops brings a subtle citrusy edge.
