Imperial Stout aged 19 months in a single Barton 1792 bourbon barrel
After churning out 100 beers per year for five years straight, we find ourselves face to face with a celebratory boss that is our 500th beer in recipe and execution. The barrel is big as it should be and suggests a return to the seventh galaxy. The Bestowed stout base finds balance with this showy barrel and imparts notes of oak, leather and luxury. Adorned with gold wax, this is the bounty suitable for sharing with only the finest of folk in your life. Room temperature, like all dark beers, is the path to clairvoyance here.

Aroma: a lot of American oak, some bourbon and dark fruits, moderately sweet, a bit smoky and peaty.
Taste: along the same lines, quite boozy with a lot of bourbon notes.
Overall: it's hot, but a good sipper for a fall night while seating by the fireplace 👍🔥
