From tap @ Meetnica in Bratislava. Head is medium, tanned, good retention. Colour is dark , opaque. Aroma is rich roasted tones, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, dark dried fruits, amami touch. Taste is full malty base, light oily mouthfeel, dark fruits, cocoa, coconut, coffee, chocolate, nice balanced harmonic bitterness, low carbonation, very good for the style, enjoyed for sure.

On tap a Pühaste Taproom Tallinn, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is dominated by earthy, spicy rye, with gentle roast, and big crusty rye bread. Flavour is similar, with liquid rye bread, gentle roast, dark sugars, and finishing with more rye spiciness. Great rye beer, maybe a bit too sweet but has enough depth to work.

Can at home, black beer, small to no head. Aroma is roast, coffee, malt, chocolate, rye, dark ripe fruit, raisins, hint of liquorice. Taste is the same, bitter, sweet, rye, fruity, chocolate, alcohol. very very nice.

200ml at Pühaste taproom in Tallinn. Shared with Finn. Tiny off-white head, black body, fair lacing. Inviting chocolate-coffee aromas, roasted. Solid malt-driven taste of cocoa chocolate, nuts, and black coffee. Well roasted, lingering dark malty finish. Full bodied. Likeable stout sipper. (Tallinn, 05.11.2025).
