Our brewer Mike came up with this recipe to remind him of the old style English Bitter’s he used to drink back home.
Contradictory to the name this beer is not overly bitter in taste. In 19th century Britain beer drinkers used the term bitter to differentiate this style from other pale ales. Since then it has been given its own style.
A rich taste with raisin like-maltiness and hints of nut and plum. A combination of North American and traditional English hops create a gentle spice and citrus aroma with light bitterness.

473ml can. Pours a hazy red amber with a small, creamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, raisin, nuts and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, biscuit, plum, raisin and spicy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Malt forward. Not bad.
