Scottish Style Winter Ale - keg only special.

Unkilted Santa is intended as an uncomplicated and unpretentious Christmas beer, which tastes like a lot more without ending up in sticky sweetness and excessive percentages. Dark in color from a bit of roasted barley and crystal malt, but high in attenuation, so the residual sweetness is minimal. And the hops in just the right amount to create balance. It is a beer with enough strength and bitterness to cleanse the palate with the heavy Christmas dishes, and in fact we can't think of a single Christmas menu where it wouldn't fit well. At the same time, it has enough character to be a clean and thirst-quenching beer for drinking in its own right. Slàinte Mhath!

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours brown, fairly transparent, with fine, light cream foam. Aroma is malty, a little smoked. Body is fairly thick, with average carbonation. Taste is medium bitter, with good malty sweetness behind as well. Final is fairly long, but delicate.
