A Gose (pronounced go-suh) is a German style of beer, which was nearly extinct until recently. A refreshing half-wheat, half-pilsner malt brew with notes of coriander, lemon, and sea salt that give a hint of a mischievous side. Very clean yet spicy finish.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of slightly tart lemon and sweet wheat. Flavor has lots of wheat that is supported by semi lemon.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a finger of foam. Light grain, lemon, yogurt some earthy minerals. Thin palate. Lingering tartness. Doesn’t really go anywhere though. --- Beer merged from original tick of Casper The Friendly Gose on 21 Aug 2017 at 21:57 - Score: 6. Original review text: Light grain, lemon, yogurt. Thin palate.
