Pours hazy pale lemon into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Dusty lemon aromas. Tart with sweet lemon and lime front to back.

Bottle. Herbal nose, lemon/orange, apple, whit egrapes. Hazy gold, with a blast of bubbles first then almost still. Tart, fruity flavor, grapes, light tartness, very delicate balance. Apples. Very nice.

Pale golden coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying pure white head. Aroma of bright citrus, tons of yeast and funk, vinifera grapes, light sugars and a very dry hay and grassy scent. Super light-bodied; Super strong funky and grassy flavour at first with a dry hay and grapey flavour coupled with some light malt, wheat and a nice layered fruit flavour with no body at all and a dry, herbal kick at the end. Aftertaste shows mostly grape flavours with some tart fruits, citrus, hay, grass, light hops and a bit of funk. Overall, a nice very light beer that doesn’t show much of a berliner weiss, but more of a belgian single. Nice to try given that the grapes come from near the in-laws, but definitely not one of the best beliner weiss that i’ve had or even really should be in this category at all - not worth paying the premium on this either - get a real beer from the style from Berlin! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 15-November-2016 for US$9,99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-February-2017.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours translucent gold with a transient head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly sourish. Nice combo. Med body or so. Flavor is citrusy, and there’s significant carbonation. Sort of like a citrus soft drink, but with some hop bitterness. Very quaffable.

22oz bomber. Thick, unfiltered yellow-tan body. Thin but steady, glass rimming white head. Really pleasant sour tinged aroma with some grapes to throw it over the top. I am usually not a fan of grape flavors in beer, but this really works out. Bright, refreshing. Nice underlying depth courtesy of the grape. Really well executed.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a glowing pale straw with a little bit of haziness. Huge stinky tropical nose with passion fruit and papaya notes dominating. Some light lemon and wet hay as it warms with a touch of yogurt. Medium to low carbonation on the palate. Quite tart, but just enough carbonation to keep the palate cleansed. Lemon yogurt on the finish with more stinky tropical notes. Pretty solid, but didn’t get much grape flavors.

22 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Hazy pale yellow with half a finger of off-white head. Aromas of lemon lime citrus fruit and peel, a little white wine, musty oak. Tastes of lemon lime and grapefruit citrus, subtle funk, white wine. Medium body with a dry finish. Light tartness.
