Bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours hazy brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of dark malt, spiced cake and faint wood. Taste is light balsamic, spiced cake again, earthy malt and brown bread. A gentle sour with lots going on.

Appearance - cloudy brown with a beige head.
Nose - lovely aroma of Flemish brown, spice cake and lightly woody.
Taste - spiced cake, brown bread with a gentle edge of balsamic.
Palate - medium bodied, plus, with a dry, lightly tart, long finish.
Overall - lovely, one of the beers of the year.
