This is a smooth, easy drinking Pilsner-style lager, hybridising a classic German malt profile and method with new American “Neo-Noble” hop varietals. This gives a bready, clean malt backbone and a floral, zesty hop character.

Solas has been left unfiltered to allow the ingredients to really shine so may pour with a slight natural haze. Prost!

Can from Kingsgate Wines and Provisions, Winchester. Aroma has grains and wood, light citrus underlying doughy malts. Opaque copper gold. Foamy white head. Flavourwise it light-medium bitter with a sour edge. Herbal. Woody. Citrusy. Underlying light bready malts. Light. Thin to slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Pleasent Pils... possibly the first non-ale from this lot.
