pours a warm amber yellow color with a fine white persistent foam. It has the complex sweetness of port wine, a hint of selected spices, and a highly pronounced aroma of yeast and malt.

Bottle at home watching a garbage film. Flattish orange colored pour and frothy big head. Nose is candied fruits and some herbs. Tatses of faint herbs and spices, subdued for a winter ale, some lemon, and white grape, touch woody, and bread crust. Medium bodied.

Romans are malt, Belgian yeast with a bit of spice. Flavors are similar to nose with more of everything. Bittersweet, candy sugar and a touch tart. Good but nothing too special.
