Heavily aromatic of fruit esters, citrus and underlying banana custard tones, Aureus is well attenuated with mellow rounded bitterness. Golden with a rocky white head, it’s complex light-medium body and alcoholic strength adds a smooth warming character, which becomes more apparent at room temperature. It unlocks all of its secrets at cellar temperature and can be aged up to two years.

Bottle from parents, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a bronzed yellow sort of color to it. Finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Slight stringy lace.
The aroma had some banana, peach, vanilla, sweet wood, grassiness, subtle funk/sour, bleu cheese/basement/old sweatsock, leather, light earthiness/dried leaves and ended with a semi-sour to sweet grassy character.
The flavor had the fruitiness meld with the vanilla to lead into the sweet wood. Light herbal quality and bubblegum come in to lighten the funkiness. Aftertaste softened towards the previously mentioned tastes. Finished somewhat funky yet sour with an ample sweetness.
The palate was about medium bodied with a clean sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, what style was this supposed to be? Hell if I know, hell if I care, just damn good.

Very cloudy lemon, no head. due to the yeast, I just get a lot of baby diaper in the aroma. The taste, more sulphur, baby diaper, sweet orange peel and a underlying herbal spice that really lingers on for a while. this was interesting but needs just a bit more body

750 mL bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazy orange color with a large foamy tan head. Average head retention. Aroma of bread, spice, yeast, dry citrus, herbal notes and a mild tinny note. The taste is stone fruits, yeast, bready malts, bubblegum, lots of spice. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering spice.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky yellow-gold color with a medium sized creamy white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was a lovey mix of sweet orange, tangerine and bread dough. The flavor flavor was very strong sweet sugar and tangy candied fruits - mostly pear, peach and orange with a strong yeasty and bready undertone and a hint of vanilla cream. Long finish of sweet and tangy candied fruits and just a touch of alcohol showing through at the edges. Thick body and amazingly creamy. Astounding!

Well, let me tell you, this stuff hides the alky content well. Very light yellow color. Sparkling attitude in the glass. Not much aroma, just clean and attractive. Very little co2 on the tongue. Creamy head. A little sweet and almost cloying but never quite gets there. Interstingly complex.
