Fruited & dry-hopped “tropical” barrel-aged sour ale
My Many Smells is a series of beers brewed with our friends at Seventh Son Brewing in Columbus, Ohio. We were inspired by a Dead Milkmen song by the same name — check it out if you have a minute. All of the beers in this series have been sour ales that were refermented on tropical fruit purees and then dry-hopped with hop varieties that also display tropical hop character.
Tasting Notes: Dry, acidic, and funky with notes of mango, passionfruit, dank dry hops, as well as oak barrel.

Sample at the brewpub as part of Ohio Brew Week on 07/18/2025, during the 10th Anniversary celebration. Slightly hazy yellow-gold pour with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal hop, funky tropical fruits and bready malt. The finish is fruity and funky with a dank hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.
