On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small off white head. The aroma is strong smoke, bacon, ash. Medium body, bacon, ash, wood, lingering smoke finish, good.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized creamy off white head that left good lacing. The aroma was smoke, hickory and bacon. The flavor was smoke, bacon, a bit of bread and a hint of soap. Long bacon finish. Medium body. Decent.

My draft was simply called spoonwood smoked amber so I won’t reenter another beer. Yes, on tap at the bocktown. An amber looking beer fer sure. Darker pale yellow but still pale fer the most part. Has a smoked feel to it on the nose. Yes, smell of smoke carries over to the tongue, fer sure. Definitely smoked on the palate. Surprizingly lacks that bacon sensation so common with many rauch beers. Not bad overall. Tho I don’t like this style, I must say good job on this smoky, spoony.
