Amber red. Nose of molasses and corn and sasparilla. Hmmm. Taste is good. It’s smooth with root beer like qualities and a minor bitterness that lingers with that cheap candy flavor. Not bad.

Bomber from the brewery. Pours a clear dark red with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of grainy malt, toffee, toasted malt, dark fruits, cherries. The taste is toffee, caramel, dark fruits, mild nuttiness. Medium bodied.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel-red color with a large foamy white head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was faint nutty caramel with a bit of fig. The flavor was bitter, tangy and nutty with faint vague fruits and touches of caramel and molasses. The finish was medium length bitter, tangy, malty and nutty. Medium body. Decent.
