On tap at the brewpub. A clear, brown beer topped by a dense, beige, finger thick head leaving lacing. Malty aroma with bread, some caramel and hints of pine cones. Mostly malty flavor too, rather dry, and with a decent bitterness. Some pine cones and grass too. Medium body and a nice carbonation level. Lovely bitterness in the finish. 150617

Split a 12 oz bottle with friends. Poured a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some notes of roasted malts, some sweetness, touch of light chocolate. Flavor was a nice earthy hop character with some roasted malts, sweetness. Pretty easy to drink. Enjoyable.

Light amber color. Chocolatey, very malty, a touch of cherry cough syrup. Not bad, but fairly average all around.

Pours amber, beige head. Aroma is malty / caramel, earthly hops. Taste, malty with some ncie chocolate notes with subtle nutty addition. Beer is well balanced, light hops giving an alsmot dark fruits flavor, with an always present nice chocolate / caramel malts. Finish leaves some light bitter hops. Beer became more enjoyable as it warmed up. One great dunkel.
