chestnut colour with reddish hue, medium sized creamy beige head; aroma and taste of nutmeg, some cinnamon, toffee, dried cherry, hints of dark chocolate, some orange peel oils, woody, spicy alcoholic and prune notes; quite good one

0.75l bottle thanks to Lore. Clear amber body with a huge and lasting beige head. Aroma and taste of orange zest, roasted malts, candi sugar, nutmeg, wood and some booze. Warming alcohol, but nothing harsh. Good one.

Tap at gist. A light hazed amber brown coloured pour with a magnolia head. Aroma is semi sweet, tangy, green apple, woody, alcohol, rum, toasted malts.. Flavour is composed of sour, apple, brown sugars, light and gjt sour. Palate is semi sweet, woody, apple, highish carbonation. Ok.

Adriaen Brouwer Oaked, Fläschchen aus Tausch mit Jef. - Dunkles Kupferrot, trüb; üppiger Schaum. - In der Nase Trockenobst (Pflaume), Booskop, Karamel, Vanille, belgische Hefe, ein Hauch von Schokolade, leise säuerliche Züge (Sauerbier), blasse zitronige Hopfung. - Antrunk sirupartig fett schokoladig-malzsüß, Rumtopf, Nougat, parfümierte Süße, dazu blasse krautige Herbe - eine Kakophonie schlecht zusammenstimmender Aromen, aus der sich fade Karamelsüße, stumpfe, schwach holzige Herbe und unangenehme Schnapsigkeit herausschälen. Spritzig rezent, für ein Bier von 10 % eher leicht. Im Abgang nichts Neues. - Angeblich brewed according to centuries-old tradition aber mit Karamel und Zucker - das stimmt ja vorn und hinten nicht zusammen, ebenso wenig wie dieses schauerliche Gemisch unvereinbarer Aromen. Servida en cáliz, color marrón cobrizo oscuro, prácticamente opaco, espuma beige bien retenida. En nariz aromas muy atractivos de malta tostada, chocolate negro, fruta seca (ciruelas pasas, dátiles...) pan negro, pan de centeno, pan tostado, licor, madera... En boca es tremenda, cuerpo medianamente completo, textura oleosa, algo seca, con matices tan deliciosos como complejos, una sinfonía de notas marcadamente dulces, frutales y almibaradas y otras notablemente amargas y torrefactas, al paladar vienen recuerdos de chocolate negro, frutos negros, secos y pasificados, postres ricos en cacao, whisky...que rico banquete. Una cerveza de bastante profundidad y robustez, cálida y de agradable textura... más que rica, cojonuda.

Bottle. Deep orange-brown with a huge head. Tangy nose, orange, touch of vinegar, caramel, cherry, vanilla. Sweet, funky, and bitter flavor. Vanilla, light strawberry, caramel. Slightly sour with lots fo bitter oak. Not really balanced, but ok.

Adrien Brouwer Oaked 10% Orange brown with a thick beige foam and deep orange fruity aroma. Medium to full bodied with just a small crisp oak edge to it. Nice.
