Bottle pour at the The Belgian Brewers' Bash in Washington DC. Poured a medium dark brown color, light mahogany with a medium sized light tan head. Dark fruits, too sweet. Wood is too strong in this one. Maybe a bit more tartness or funkiness would cut through some of the big bold notes in this. Not for me.

Bottled (as Winter Wood 2018). Coppery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is wooden, some slight spicy and alcohol notes with dried fruits. Flavour is sweet malts, some wood, mild marzipan and some slight toffee tones. Very balanced and quite heavy.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Coop, Culemborg.
Clear dark brown with a big tan head. Dark caramel and dark fruit aroma. Sweet taste with a sweet finish. Body is a bit thin for a 10% ABV beer but otherwise it's decent and very Belgian.
