Beer for Rugby is beefed up with enough New Zealand to make you want to do a haka. A robust hop lineup includes Pacifica and Nelson Sauvin with a Motueka dry hop plus it's juiced with kiwi juice. The flavor bursts through the backline with a sweet fruit cocktail of strawberry, pear, and pineapple notes and a finish as earthy as the bottom of a ruck. With as much flavor as we pack into this hoppy, fruited lager, you might forget it clocks in at 5% abv during an extended post match drink up.

16oz can. Quite an odd beer, certainly more of a fruit beer than a NZ. Bright, biting, almost sour up front, but fades into a sort of nothingness. Unique, the kiwi flavor is hard to judge when it isn't candied out. This is fairly dry for a fruit beer, the NZ hops are there I guess just hard to fully appreciate through the kiwi juice. Clean, well made, different.

Pour is a chill haze blonde with an extra large white head. Aroma is definite fruitiness. It's been a hot minute since I've had a kiwi but I'm guessing that is the fruit I am smelling. Flavor is fruity with dry chalky malt. With 4 different hops I was thinking they would make a bigger appearance but they are just kind of there. Decent fruity lager. My mom would probably like this.
