Belgian Tripel with fresh Ohio Vista hops

We brewed this strong, Belgian-style tripel with Dave Volkman, the hop grower at Ohio Valley Hops. Dave personally drove the fresh, whole-cone Vista hops to us on the brew day and helped us brew the beer. This beer is BIG, in flavor and in alcohol by volume. Please sip responsibly!

Tasting notes: Belgian yeast aroma of bubblegum, banana, and pear esters, along with some light pepper and clove notes. Flavor is malty and almost sweet at first, but the sweetness is cleaned up with a healthy dose of sneaky, warming alcohols. Finish is lightly hoppy and quite dry.
