Cask at the source. Clear deep ruby maroon color, tan head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of plums, grapes, raisins. Taste is dark fruit, coffee, dry finish. Tasty.

500ml bottle with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear red-brown, thin white head. Aromas of red fruit, nuts. Biscuits, jammie dodgers. Light spice on the taste. Complex palate, lots going on, long finish.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown to black with a thin head. Nose - dark red fruit with honey and gentle spice. Lovely malt bill. Some crunchy and sweeter malts. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - lovely indulgent beer.
