Sacred Brett is an oak barrel aged Saison fermented with three unique strains of Brettanomyces. This lightly tart, slightly funky saison spends a minimum of six to ten months in oak before being deemed worthy of enjoying. This aging period mimics the way these beers were brewed over a hundred years ago. A long secondary fermentation with Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus make for a woody, fruity, tart saison.

On Tap clear deep golden. Thin fine ring of off white bubbles. Funky sweet aromas and flavors. Brett is integrated nicesly with some sweet light maltiness that has a bit of apricot or peach in it. Very interesting.

Sample @ GABF 2017. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity spicy woody bretty aroma. Fruity malty spicy woody bretty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy woody bretty finish.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Vinous aroma. Flavors of oak and tart white grapes. Smooth finish, with only mild sourness.

Tap at GABF. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is brett and funk. Thin body, funky, sour fruit, nice brett, good.
