Lots of smoked peat. Brown pour with some good head and lacing, especially on cask. Some caramelized barley. Tangy finish, kind of a barley wine vibe. Cask at Churchkey.

Cask at Churchkey. I uploaded a photo with menu to support the case for unretiring this one. Clear maroon brown color, tan bubbles. Aroma of toast and caramel. Taste has light roast, cocoa, caramel. Tasty.

As Ness Club 7 .. cask at the bow ... dark amber brown .. heavy roast malts ... sweet roast nose... intense malt ... quite bitter ... little clawing.

On cask @ the Stockbridge Tap. Pours a dark amber colour with a nicely proportioned head. The nose is quite gentle - delicate hops, maybe a touch of smokiness. The taste has more going on and it’s mostly malty - there would seem to be quite a lot of crystal malt in there and maybe some smoked as these come through at different stages. On the palate, the alcohol is well hidden though the finish is just a bit too astringent for me. Overall, an interesting ale though probably more interesting than good.
