Tap at J’s. Pours a clear, honey yellow color with a small head that dissipates quickly. Very floral nose with some lemongrass, lime and tons of tangerine. Clean and crisp, light bodied. Piney and bitter on the palate with some heat from the alcohol. Lingering herbal notes and bitter finish.

Minnesota Trip Beer #82. Keg at the Happy Gnome, 5/9/16. Clear orange, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of tropical fruit, lime, herbal notes, basil. The taste is caramel malt, lime, herbal notes. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

On tap at Blackbird Public House. Hazy golden, white head. I thought it was a joke about the kitchen, but it wasn?t - aroma is slightly sweet, with a mix of spices from the kitchen with an easy to find basil notes. Taste is pretty the same. Piney bitterness aftertaste. One of the most unusual IIPA I?ve ever tried. Would?t say it was very pleasant though.

On tap at The Hay Merchant. Pours a clear orange with thick white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit, grapefruit and tangerine, resin, floral. Medium body, grapefruit, pine, light resin finish, good.

Hazy copper to amber color with thick head. Nice aroma, sweet malt, candies, a bit fruity, mellow, hint of pineapple. Robust body with medium sweetness; excellent malts, they are present, provide a canvas, but mostly with light toffee and crackers, so they don’t get in the way of the hops; balanced bitterness, quite resiny, moderately fruity, some sweet and bitter oranges; it’s lightly minty, but I can’t say that I feel those herbs much, luckily; I’d really like to see more fruity or citrusy hops here because the rest is ready for it. Not too difficult to drink even if it’s a large glass.
