This Lambic-inspired beer was brewed through traditional methods and contains raw wheat, aged hops, and fresh raspberries. It was fermented with a blend of organisms to best emulate the rustic characteristics of a traditional Belgian Lambic. The young beer was aged in French oak casks with fresh raspberries for 1 year which allowed the development of a soft oak presence, dry expressive yeast quality and tart bright acidity from the fermented fruit and bacteria. Enjoy now or cellar for a special occasion.

Bottle picked up in Reno, opened at RBSG. Light golden yellow in color with a small white head. Aroma is fairly mild, farmhouse yeast, a little earthy, and slightly funky. Tastes like a sour farmhouse? brett, farmyard funk, and dry oak barrel. Lively carbonation and a sort of spritzer influence from the white wine barrel.

Capped 750 from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma is quite bretty to me. Along with white grape. Med body. Flavor is medium brett, grape, some astringent wood. Really quite clean, if brett can be that way. Dry and bretty finish. Terms like earthy, barnyard and horse blanket could be applied, but this is not like most ales meriting those terms. This is incredibly easy drinking, fairly strongly brett ale. Good stuff.
