While not technically a Flanders, this Tart Red Ale is inspired by the style of beer. Brewed with a copious amount of crystal malt for a majestic red color and fermented with Lactobacillus and a Belgian yeast strain for an acidic and spicy finish, this anniversary ale is one to appreciate all year long.

Draft at Rustico, Alexandria. Poured a ruby color. Light, creamy red ale character is nicely balanced out by a very mild, light tart character, with a rounded finish that isn’t sweet or sour.

Draft at Salud. Hazy amber color. Aroma of overripe stone fruit. Taste is sweet and sour peach and plum. Nice.
