Draft Taproom 6/1/17. Pours black. Aroma of chocolates, alcohol, coffee, vanilla. Flavor is cherry cordial, dark chocolate, vanilla, coconut, coffee, earth. Outstanding.

Bottle @ RateBeer Best 2017 Bottle Share. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate woody bourbon aroma. Roasted malty woody bourbon chocolate chili flavor. Has a roasted malty spicy chocolate chili cinnamon woody finish.

750ml bottle pours a dark, caramel amber with some frothy, beige head. Nose has butterscotch and cream soda, some vanilla, some chocolate. Flavor is sweet with ice cream, cinnamon, some black pepper here. A decent amount of heat. Finishes mostly dry.

Bottle pour at the May 1st DC tasting. Poured a pitch black color with a small tan head. Aroma was very nice, bold roasted malt notes. Raisin, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla. Super boozy, bourbon, vanilla finish, very mild pepper notes - no real heat on it. Wow. Quite tasty.

From a bottle at the DC gathering May 1, 2016. Pours a clear cola with an ecru head. Aroma of bourbon. Flavors of chilis, oak and bourbon. Nice.

Bottle. Dark brown color, fluffy tan head. Subtle chili on roast aroma. Taste is lightly spiced and very boozy. Big stuff.

750 ml bottle shared with DCLawyer. Dark brownish black with tan head. Aromas of chili pepper flesh, dark chocolate. Tastes of chili pepper flesh and heat, dark chocolate, a little green bell pepper, light whiskey. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Good but think I prefer the base beer untouched.
