One of our heritage beers, Yuengling® Lord Chesterfield Ale has as much rich heritage as it does flavor and appeal. Crafted in a unique two-stage European brewing style for enhanced bitterness, it utilizes both conventional kettle hopping and dry hopping after fermentation resulting in a dry sharp finish. Its distinct robust flavor is derived from a delicate combination of sweet maltiness and lingering herbal bitterness.

Bottle. Whow, this was very skunky. It did taste much better then it smelld. The taste was very slight grapefruit with a tad of spruce and hay. Kind of watery. Color was a gold and clear. Brown bottle might help with skunkyness.

Pours golden with a thin white head. Aroma of acerbic malt, bitter hop oils. Taste has weird malt, some corn, fairly bitter but not necessarily hoppy. Palate has grassy notes on the nose, somewhat acerbic. Meh.

12 oz green bottle, poured clear light golden with foamy white head. Medium body with light carbonation. Barley/corn malt and yeast aroma, offputting. Mildly bitter hops with strong barley malt taste. Mediocre but better than expected.

Bottle. Corn/barley malt and straw aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet vegetal barley malt and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Decent body. Probably would have been a bit better if it wasn’t in a green bottle.

On tap at Taproom on 19th. Pours a clear gold with large frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and wheat. Thin mouth with metallic flavor, wheat, skunky, decent.
