One of our heritage beers, Yuengling® Lord Chesterfield Ale has as much rich heritage as it does flavor and appeal. Crafted in a unique two-stage European brewing style for enhanced bitterness, it utilizes both conventional kettle hopping and dry hopping after fermentation resulting in a dry sharp finish. Its distinct robust flavor is derived from a delicate combination of sweet maltiness and lingering herbal bitterness.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of BoostIPA. Thanks! Pours a clear golden appearance with a disappearing white head. Skunky, herbal hoppy, grassy, a touch metallic aroma. Twangy, corny, metallic, skunky, cardboard flavor. Not good.

12 ounce bottle. Pale yellow gold color with lots of bubbles leading to a small fluffy white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma with faint citrus hops. Light sweet malt flavor has a crisp lemony twang. Rather thin bodied, yet refreshing. I remember this having a bit more hops a few years back. Some floral hops in aftertaste and finish. Fairly lightweight and lighter than their Amber Lager.

A blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light floral hops wit some german qualities, chalky. In mouth, a nice ale with faint British hops, quite nice. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.

From bottle (free sample, yay) after the (free, yay) brewery tour of the Tampa brewery site, on Feb 1, 2011Clear straw yellow color, white head. Fruity, artificial, bubblegum taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Faint fruity scent.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is bready. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly sweet, arguably bready, and grassily bitter. Not extreme in flavor, it is pleasant. Somewhere between a good kolsch and a good pils? Finishes more bitter than not.

Boom of the skunk barrel of Yuengling, I found this very difficult to drink. Definite skunkage, and the flavor seemed very sulphuric to me. The hops are there and lend some citric flavors, but this is NOT to be considered drinkable. Pass Up!!
