12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Lake Manassas, 5/18/16. Clear amber, medium foamy white head. Decent retention. Aroma of toasted malt, earth, caramel. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, herbal and mildly lemony hops. Medium bodied.

Draft at Maddy’s. Clear golden amber color, light ta head, see pic with menu for verification please. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste is boozy peppery burnt caramel. OK. My first Maibock of the season, and Germany must be panicking that we have this one a week early.
