Found this gem tucked away on a shelf at the Co-op in Grass Valley. 2015 vintage. Opened with a pop, pours out fizzy, hazy golden. Grassy, meadow aroma, light yeast, floral. Taste is sweet, grassy, butteyr feel. I would consider this a benchmark saison.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey & Raphaela’s place. Thanks Alexey & Raphaela. Clear yellow with a white head. Great rustic aroma, funky, earthy, with flowers, some hops, citrus, some other hops. Dry flavor, earthy, somewhat funky, with a light tart hint, flowers, fruitiness, and a bitter hops finish. Medium-bodied. Very good and fresh.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy to cloudy pale yellow color. Aroma of light citrus and stone fruit, white pepper. Taste is dusty black pepper and straw, dry finish. Very tasty.
