The concept for out third Hop Program beer, Beer III, was a hoppy black ale incorporating Citra, Lemondrop. Cascade, and Falconer's Flight hops. While dark in appearance, Beer III presents with massive hop aroma and flavor. It finishes dry with a touch of chocolate and coffee lingering on the palate. We hope you enjoy our latest hoppy creating. Cheers!

Sone roast and some light hops. Black pour with ok head and lacing. Easy drinking but not a lot to this compared to other beers by these guys. Bottle.

16.9 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottled on 2/8/2016. Dark brownish black with two fingers of light tan head. Aromas of big roasty notes, pine, a little dark chocolate and toffee. Tastes of roasty notes, pine, floral notes, light citrus. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty nice for 5.5% ABV.

Tap at Reservoir, Waterbury. Colour is almost black with small slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, chocolate and roasted malts. Lacks little bit of everything to be a great black IPA but overall very good.

Draft at Haymaker, 1/21/16. Dark brown in color with a team head am average-plus lace. Aroma is a nice mix of roast and earthy/pine hops. Very clean and hoppy upfront with a balanced, leaning bitter finish. Drinks clean and easy. Another hoppy winner from a Maine.

Associated, Brooklyn bottle: pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is lightly chocolate, pine, resin, some fruitiness. Taste is somewhat bitter, but not too much so but maybe it was because I had an IPA before that. Beer is a bit sweet. The mouthfeel of this beer is what really stands out; it is soft

Tastes of coffee, light chocolate, pine, resin, hint of wintergreen but flavors semi subdued compared to nose. Drying finish creamy and slightly oily palate. Nice easy drinking brew very tasty.
