Ofrenda is a Mexican Dark Lager that takes its name from the altars built to welcome spirits back to the world of the living, adorned with candles, food, and offerings meant to guide them home for one day every year.
Take this beer as an offering of its own: a collaboration with Mario’s favourite hometown brewery, @cerveceriafausto , and our very first collaboration with a brewery in Mexico.
Brewed with dark malts and flaked corn, Ofrenda has notes of toasted malt and toffee. It’s light-bodied yet dark, crisp as well as caramelly, and is a beer meant for sharing, remembering, and celebrating those who came before us.

On tap at Bellwoods, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small white head. Aroma has toasted bready malt, some toasted nuts, and some earthiness. Flavour is more flavourful than a typical Mexican dark lager, with toasted dark bread and lsome nuttiness. Clean and drinkable but totally uninteresting.
