Shadow of the Wizard is a layered blend of some of our most unique barrel stock. Built upon a foundation of Barleywine aged in Eagle Rare Bourbon barrels and Imperial Stout aged in Savage and Cooke Rye barrels, Shadow of the Wizard exudes notes of rich fudge brownies, caramel pot de creme, and Grandma’s World Famous flan. A single barrel of Double Barrel aged Munichwine that spent a collective 34 months in Blanton’s and Booker’s bourbon barrels rounds out the blend, bringing rich, warming heat and deep notes of burnt marshmallow, chewy molasses cookies, and sticky toffee pudding. Though the Wizard himself is gone – his shadow remains. Take a sip from beneath his umbra, and glimpse into the Barleywine realm where time flows differently and flavors resonate deeper.
