Can bought @ Bierkoning. Orangy color, average sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts and very hoppy. Heavy hops, resin, resinous hops. Taste malts, hops, resinous hops, resin, resinous sticky bitter. Full body, suitable medium carbonation.

Sample at Brass Tap Polaris. The beer pours a hazy dark golden color with a medium white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with a resiny hops character, and grapefruit and malt behind it. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

On tap at The Hay Merchant. Pours a hazy copper gold with large frothy white that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and pine. Medium mouth, grapefruit, dank, lingering bitterness, good.

Shared from a can @ Sixpoint presentation @ De Bierkoning. Hazy golden color. White head. Aroma’s: resin, sour/citrus, malty sweetness. Flavor is bitter-moderate sweet, with some acidity. Medium bodied. Long resinous bitter finish. Superb!

Can. Deep golden amber color, medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit juice. Taste has bitter grapefruit on a pine resin background. Pretty good.

Pours a hazy, yellowish-brown, with middling head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is very floral, full of piney hops and not too dissimilar from what the name is referring to (hint, hint). Flavor is quite bitter, with a huge hop bite and lots of citrus and tropical fruitiness to follow. Bitter finish and aftertaste. This one’s a winner, folks.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Sourdough and overripe fruit aromas. Soft with hot caramel upfront turning to bitter fruit pith in the lasting finish.

Can: Lillies, grapefruit, and marshmallow peeps on the nose, fairly strong. Hazy amber, thick yellow head, good lace. Orange, grapefruit, papaya. Once the sticky hop flavor finally subsides, a faint kiss of caramel is revealed. As the beer warms, I realize that caramel has been there all along. Medium body, easy carbonation, warm, resinous. Great intensity, wonderful hop bill. With all of the great IPAs that breweries are making today, it’s becoming very rare that I’m impressed by an IPA. This one blew me away.
