Porter

A light bodied and flavourful porter brewed with a complex malt profile. Dry flavours of roast malts, dates and burnt sugar are layered on top of subtle Pasilla, Chipotle and Ancho chillis for fruitiness and a gentle smoke, while a rich body conceals a warming spice.

Cans from Against The Grain and Lupe Pintos. Black body with a dense beige head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of treacle and ash. Flavour of chillies, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. The chillies are really well judged in this - they add to the beer without taking over.
