Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi-hazy mahogany color with a sly transparency about it. Ample white foamy head fell off at a decent pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had some dried earthy to grassy hops blending with a nice toffee/caramel malt base. Light butterscotch. Touch of leather. Slight bitter piney-ness at the end.
The flavor moderately leaned to the malty crisp dried sweet side. Crisp malty aftertaste and finish.
The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, I didnβt mind this as an amber ale, did the trick for me.
