// The perfect balance between spicy, caramel and roasted malt flavours is complimented by a nice roundness and persistent finish. La Resolution has a festive feel, but it can be easily enjoyed all year long.

On tap at the beer bistro, and in a 750ml corked and caged bottle from the lcbo. Dark brown, with a ruby hue, and a small off white head, soicy aroma, but very warming. Cinnamon, nutmeh, some cloves, with a rich bready malt base, with some cherries, and dark candied fruit. Soft, but bubbly carb, with a slightly viscous mouth feel. The finish is sweet, but not over powering, a light bitterness, with some more subtle fruitiness, and alot of warming spice. A nice xmas season sipper,

Holy cap 10%. It's complex. It's too much.

A gladly obtained 750 ml bottle from the local supermarket, Unibroue is normally a pleasure. Uncaged, uncorked and poured it shows a red-brown body and a vigorous, tightly bubbled, tan foam. Going to my nose I get yellow fruit and something earthy. A taste delivers malt, rhubarb, carrot and plum. Interesting and curious. Dense and full in the mouth. The 10% abv is totally covered, no clue it is there. Worth the adventure.

Sampled from the tap at City Works. Pours amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a decent amount of ginger with some flora and sweet grains supporting. Flavor combines ginger and light fruits with some sweet grains and a bit of flora supporting.

750 ml bottle from John’s. Always a pleasure to try a new Unibroue beer. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a large beige head. A big spicy yeasty nose. The flavor is raisin, plum, some heat, big sugary malts, fluffy palate. Very good. Unibroue has essentially created its own style with these dark Belgian style spicy beers. Of course they are inspired by many Belgian beers, but that yeast profile is pretty unique.
