A stylish wheat with a tropical personality. Infused with fresh pineapple juice from Fair Trade Costa Rican farms, takes traditional wheat beer and adds some seriously cool character.

Can. It pours a clear, golden body and a dense, white head. The aroma is pretty strange, with tropical fruits, sweetish pale malts, pine cones and some pineapple. The flavor has a distinct pineapple touch, well, not just a touch actually. Pale malts sweetness, generic tropical fruits, pine cones and a little bitterness too. Medium body, quite effervescent and dry. Pineapple and bitterness in the finish. Rather boring this one, but at least sort of interesting. 130819

12oz can pours a clear deep gold with some cloudy, white head. The aroma when cold was fruity and malty. Once it warmed it was just huge ripe pineapple, clove, candy sugar. Smells like a weak tripel. Flavor is the same, tons of fruit, ripe pineapple, guava candy, yeasty, some malt, some papaya, very juicy. Smooth, fruity finish. Ambitious and definitely not boring.

Aroma is surprisingly malt forward with lots of sweet malt. The beer is also very fruity with banana, bubblegum and obviously pineapple. There is a hint of citrus present as well. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a big, pillowy, white head that steadily recedes. Medium high lacing and small legs. Flavor has a lot of fruitiness but with a good background wheat note throughout. Initially you get a lot of pineapple but later you get the classic German wheat esters of banana and bubblegum. Also a hint of apple cider and pear. Finish has a moderate clove note to it but still has some wheat. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Faint astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall the beer is about what you would expect based on the description on the can. Fairly sweet, but not at all sticky. Lots of esters and pineapple fruitiness, but well balanced with the clove an wheat. Although not my preferred style of beer by any means, the beer is fairly enjoyable for a fruited wheat beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can pours with an opaque orange to copper body supporting a tall white head of foam. The aroma is straight up banana and cloves as well as apple and pear sweet fruity esters. The taste is similar where I get banana, cloves and vague sweet fruitiness. Meh, nothing really wrong here maybe me. Not diggin’ it. This might be a better experience trying to beat the heat this summer though.
