330ml bottle, no. 3014 (4000 bottles brewed), batch no. 12251. Many thanks to Finn for this excellent Christmas gift. Pours a deep dark brownish body, no head and scattered lacing. Attractive on the nose with dried fruits and chocolate. Powerful taste of prunes, chocolate, raisin, oak, and syrup. Long tail with warmth for the alcohol, velvety roasted. Full bodied slow sipper. Excellent Yuletide enjoyment. (Tromsø, 28.12.2025).

On tap at Billie's Craft Beer Festival. A typical Nøgne Ø Barley Wine, vinous, warming, complex, tasteful. Will probably benefit from some time in the cellar. Roasted malt notes, dark dried fruit, brown sugar, oak notes, leather and tobacco hints, bitterness and sweetness. All quite balanced, for the style and ABV of course.
