Bottle @ home, picked up at Boulder Liquor Mart. Pours a light yellow orange appearance with a white head. The aroma has a little white pepper and clove along with some dank and tropical fruity notes. Light body. A bit aggressive flavor. Quite a bit of spice. Low sweetness and bitterness. Not all that bad but I doubt I’ll be a repeat purchaser.

Hazy blond color. Smell of pond water and plastic. Dry mouthfeel, indiscernible malt, traces of vegetables.

Bottle: Pours a brilliant gold color, great clarity, and capped with a large white head. Fruity, yeast filled nose and more of the same in the taste. A little straw and earthy for a moment, but it highlights the fruitiness and yeast flavors very well. Minimal bitters. Crushable. I hope this becomes a regular in the seasonal lineup.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy to burnt glossy orange yellow. A one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds leaving barely any lacing.
The smell had a sharp orange juice with a fairly balanced sprucy pine. Light bready notes accompany and balance softly.
The taste was sweet through the bready and the sprucy pine. The orange comes across a bit more bitter but good.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. It is lightly carbonated but shows a nice looking sharp effect on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Belgian pale ale I would have again.

Bomber - light hazy gold - soapy lace - nose is lightly peppery, moderately herbal, with touches of lemon peel, light earthy yeastiness - medium dry, fairly crisp - there is a somewhat starchy quality to it, but otherwise it’s fairly clean, with some peppery character, crackery maltiness, a bit of mineral - finish is dry, with very mild phenolics - subtle, but crisp and fairly enjoyable - I’d like to see it in reasonably-priced six packs for summer.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and some crisp crackery malt. Flavour is dry, yeasty and crisp, with Belgian yeast, light malty sweetness and a dry biscuity malt backing. Well-constructed and balanced. Quite drinkable stuff.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is rubber, grain, clove, candy sweet--it’s a little off honestly. Pours hazy pale yellow with a collapsing white head; leaves some lace.Taste is grainy, clove, yeasty, bitter in the finish. Highly carbonated, medium body. This might be the most flawed Ninkasi beer I’ve ever had. I thought these guys were beyond something like this. That being said, even though it’s kind of f--d up, it’s still drinkable. It’s not harsh going down or anything, just flawed and kind of boring.

From bottle to pint glass. High aromas of clove and general Belgian esters. Lots of spice. Clear pale yellow with a white head that fades somewhat quickly leaves a soapy collar. Taste is grainy with slight grass. Thin mouthfeel with low bitterness on the end. Slight hop spice.
