Finland’s first commercial koelschip beer. A wild yeast firework from Fiskars. Soulful, tart, citrusy, vibrant, grapefruit-like. Born from the unique flora of the Fiskars Ruukki valley, where the environment shapes the flavor and history meets craftsmanship! Koelschip — or coolship in English — is a wide, open vessel used in brewing beers the traditional lambic way. That means spontaneously fermented with wild yeast, creating drinks that are truly shaped by nature. This beer is our brewery’s deep bow to the world of lambics.

Smell of yeast, acid. Cloudy orange colour, short white head. Aroma of green apple, raw fruit, yeast, some white grapes. Soft carbon. Medium sour. Quite nice.

A golden beer, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma has grapes, green apple, barnyard. Taste has grapes, citrus, barnyard, also lots of sourness. Medium bodied. This was a big surprise, very good.
