Dark amber coloured bock, white head. Aroma of sweet malts, brown sugar, fruits. Taste is very sweet, malty amber flavour, a little fruity. Too sweet, I liked the old version a lot more. 624210 Re-rate 2011. Clear dark brown colour, creamy light beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, coffee, light caramel, rye, bitter chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, a bit of fresh coffee, hint of smoke, rye, bitter chocolate, roasted bitter finish with some caramel. Medium bodied. Nice bock, way better than before.

Bottle at Kolding Ølmesse. Pours a dark golden glowing body, topped by a medium sized beige head. Nice sweet nose with caramel, a weak alcohol touch and some spicyness. The flavor follows the same path, with caramel-sweetness, a touch of alcohol and some spices. Quite warming and full-bodied. A real by-the-fire beer. (080229)

30 cL bottle. Pours golden deep orange to amber, clear with a dense off-white head. Spiced aroma, light presence of a solid caramel and chocolate malt profile beneath. Flavour is spiced, shows a medium sweet chocolate malt base. Lingering spiced and slight chemical like note into the finish. Gets a slight bit to dominant on the spice note.

Hazy nut brown color, decent creamy off-white head. Sticky aroma of berries, dark malts and rye. Medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Grainy, sweet and sour flavor. A bit burned malty, almost soy sauce -like. Wheat and rye can be picked from the flavors. Odd sourness makes me wonder if this is infected, but other ratings indicate that this may not be a case. Not my cup of tea.
