Dark reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of caramel, bread, nuts. Quite spicy. Quite bitter flavour, light sweet note, roasted malts, pronounced rye. Quite dry. Finish caramel, nuts, some liquorice.

Dark brown colour. Flavour has lots of complex malt character. There’s bitter, roasted malts, some smokiness and some coffee. The rye rounds the beer well and adds a different dimension to the bitterness.

Medium to dark brown color, average head. Nice smell, decent taste, average carbonation and medium body. Not bad for a bockbier.

Pours a muddy brown with now head. Nose is sweet molasses, cane sugar and hot tar. Taste is sweet molasses, brown sugar, burnt malt and vinegar. Probably, a little past its prime.

On tap at Gollem de Pijp, Amsterdam. Muddy brown coloured, medium sized pale brown head, caramel candy nose. Malty, caramellish and moderate spicy with metallic and nutty notes. Hint of tiramisu in the finish. Unbalanced but drinkable.

300ml Bottle - Dark brown, with a small head. Malty and slightly fruity aroma with roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Roasted and slightly chewy taste with malt, dried fruiit and hints. The finish is chewy, roasted, malty and slightly sweet. There is also a slightly spicy kick in the finish. Very drinkable and slips down easily.
