Latin-style Witbier brewed with spices and passion fruit. 5 Lizard is a creamy and refreshing wheat beer with some spicy complexity and light touch of passion fruit for a delicious and slightly exotic flavor.

12 oz bottle courtesy of shrubber85. Bright cloudy yellow color that resembles grapefruit juice. Aroma is still really fresh with limes and juicy tropical fruits.
Flavor is much like the aroma with the juicy tropical fruit and lime with a mild tartness from the lime. Mouthfeel is soft with a mild, subdued spice in the finish. Very refreshing! One of the best in style I have had in a very long time. I wanted more when the glass was empty. And with the ABV so low it would be easy to kill 8 or 9 of these.

Bottle courtesy of weihenweizen. Passionfruit, lime, wheat malt, and coriander aroma - the aroma was screaming "drink me!" Cloudy yellow with a moderate white head. Wheat malt, lime, passionfruit, and coriander flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly dry finish. I hope I’m able to find more of this one.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Aroma is nice passionfruit, medium body, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is nice passionfruit and hints of coriander. I could crush a bunch of these outside in the summer, If you like passion fruit you should try this.

Sample at Winking Lizard. Hazy bright yellow color with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of wheat and malt. Light-bodied with a pithy citrus character and notes of yeast and spice. The finish is fruity with a citrus and wheat aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Location: Draft at Publican, 7/2/14
Aroma: The aroma is wheaty and sweet, a good amount of fruit, and some spice
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow color with a medium sized head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, very sweet, wheaty, dominating over some spice
Palate: The body is medium, it gets a little bit sticky, but has a decent mouthfeel overall
Overall Impression: This was an alright beer. It does what it is trying to do, and it doesn't have any major flaws, it is just a little too sweet for my tastes.

Bottle. Lemon, passionfruit, coriander, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy yellow with moderate head. Sweet-tart orange/passionfruit and wheat malt flavor with light clove/coriander notes. More like a Berliner Weisse than the typical witbier - very nice.

12oz bottle. Nice and unique, this is certainly a fruit beer...very passionfruit forward. Medium bodied, very easy going, the unfiltered yeasty tones really smooth out body. The lime shows up in the finish. Cool use of flavors. A hint artificial, but I’d go back for another of these.

12oz bottle with no date but purchased at Trader Joe’s, so hopefully pretty fresh. Pours with a nice head into an old school Hoegaarden tulip glass. The head fades quickly and completely dies. No lacing, no nothing left over. Makes me think there is way too many nontraditional ingredients in this brew. Color is dull golden, its completely murky. Lots of bubbles shooting up to the surfaces, looks like tiny mosquitoes hitting a lake on a hot summer’s day. Pretty whack looking actually. Now, the beer is super cool and novel. Simple puts its a limeade/beer mix. one could look at that as a good thing or a bad thing. I really like it. Aroma is full of fresh limes, citric, fresh, and lively. Maybe some coriander. Flavor is similar but a sweet, not well attenuated beer. However, a great tart and refreshing lime aftertaste. Cool stuff. I like it, this is way better than any radler, all radlers should be this.
