Draft at The Wolf, Birmingham. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy, light tan head. The aroma is big caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, buttery popcorn caramel, chocolate, spicy coffee palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Might be Cadbury inspired, but I didn’t get as much chocolate as I’d hoped for. Based on a Crunchie bar perhaps? Surprised to get some coffee, but not disappointed.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Cadburys Fudge, toffee & demerara sugar aromas. Taste is a rich mix of the above. Does exactly what it says in the blurb. Good stuff.

On tap at Plau, Preston. Pours almost black with minimal beige head and good lacing. There’s roasted malts and coffee grounds in the aroma. In the mouth a brief initial sweetness quickly turns to coffee bitterness. Flavour has roasted malts, caramel and alcoholic strength with hints of vanilla and cocoa coming through later. Bitterness lasts into the slightly dry finish. This is decent.
