The Genre Series, a West Coast styled twist on the beloved Genre base. Bright and pithy tangerines and clementines gives way to a drier, crisper, more intense palate than the normal WC IPA. Bright and juicy orange/grapefruit, fresh cut fir, a touch of apricot and blackberry in the finish, and a clean grassy bitterness that takes you back to the beach bars of San Diego. Catching waves may not be the NY/ME specialty, but we'll make do with SURF!

Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy auburn color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which slid off adequately to leave some light lace
Aroma: grapefruit/orangey to light apricot and piney hoppiness up front with some underlying clean malts
Flavor: moderately bittersweet with some berries riding in underneath then a mild aftertaste of berries to grapefruity hop tones
Texture: between light and medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; nice smoothness but also some hop abrasion along the tongue; finishes semi-crisp and semi-dry with berries and grapefruity hop tones
Overall: I'd say a nicely done West coast styled IPA I wouldn't mind coming back to.
